ADMIN Magazine tests migration from Confluence to BlueSpice

5. November 2024

A migration from Confluence to BlueSpice is comparable to moving house and, despite a sophisticated migration script, always involves certain decisions. The ADMIN Magazine has recently tested such a move. The result: it can be done very well. You can find the full article here or on the magazine’s website or in issue 84.

Atlassian no longer offers server licenses for Confluence since February 2021. Support for all server products was also discontinued at the beginning of 2024. Users now only have access to the cloud solution or the costly data center. However, the cloud does not meet the necessary data protection requirements for many companies and organizations. BlueSpice offers the solution here.

Thanks to our migration script, many macros and content are directly compatible with BlueSpice and can be transferred automatically. More specialized macros may require reworking. We support and advise you at every step of the way. In the end, you will have a well-organized and efficient open source wiki.

Take a look at the process of a Confluence migration with the help of this article. Compare BlueSpice to other systems and decide for yourself which is best suited for your purposes.
