The BlueSpice AI chatbot

Reliable answers without hallucinations

Illustration of a man sitting at a laptop in front of a brain in which data from various devices converge. Artificial intelligence supports him in his work.

An AI chatbot based on a structured wiki as a trusted data source not only provides fast but also reliable answers – without any hallucinations. It improves the user experience by facilitating access to information and making the wiki significantly more interactive.

The combination of curated knowledge and AI makes information directly accessible, traceable, and transparent. This allows you to increase efficiency in your daily work while ensuring the quality of your content.

Advantages at a glance

User queries are understood immediately, so that the relevant content from the wiki can be made available in no time at all.

The chatbot strictly complies with data protection regulations, thus ensuring conformity with European data protection regulations.

Thanks to the AI chatbot, time wasted searching for information is a thing of the past, resulting in an overall increase in productivity!

Information security is guaranteed through precise analysis of user requests and recourse to well-maintained content.

Fully integrated AI chatbot for your BlueSpice wiki

The AI chatbot can be integrated into BlueSpice since version 5.2

Here’s how it works:

The BlueSpice AI chatbot accesses only the content of your wiki and uses it to formulate precise answers in natural language – efficiently and transparently.

Each answer contains traceable source references and can be easily copied or directly transferred to a new wiki page. This makes the chatbot a real assistant for your knowledge management in the wiki.

Supported LLMs:

OpenAI and OpenAI-compatible Systeme (e. g. Microsoft Azure, DeepSeek, Google Gemini) and Ollama

Successfull research projects

Fraunhofer IVV

WiBe-Back | Chatbot-supported knowledge management

The Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV and the Möbius bakery are collaborating on the WiBe-Back project to promote the use of wikis and artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises. The goal? To capture, structure, and make accessible existing knowledge in small and medium-sized enterprises in a more targeted manner.

At its core is a bakery business where experiential knowledge is digitally documented and made available via a wiki system. A semantically supported ontology improves the search function, while the integrated chatbot enables quick and intuitive access to relevant information. By combining practical research with innovative technology, the project contributes to the further development of modern knowledge management solutions.

BlueSpice HdP edition with AI-powered chatbot

The BlueSpice HdP Edition supplements the Project Funding Manual (HdP) of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMFTR, formerly BMBF) with an intelligent AI-based chatbot.

It helps employees and project sponsors navigate the complex funding requirements of the BMFTR efficiently and confidently. The chatbot provides clear, legally compliant answers in natural language – quickly, reliably, and without any “hallucinations.” It is based exclusively on verified content from the HdP, which the chatbot accesses via a specially developed interface from Hallo Welt! GmbH.

This technical solution protects sensitive data and ensures legally binding information – a key requirement for use in the subsidy process. The open-source software is available via openCode and was developed as part of a research project in collaboration with Fraunhofer IVV and GovTech Campus, among others.
