BlueSpice 5.2
Smarter, more inclusive, and better connected
19. November 2025
Winter is just around the corner—and with it comes a major update for your wiki: BlueSpice 5.2 brings new intelligence, greater accessibility, and stronger networking. Highlights include the new AI chatbot, improved accessibility, and chat integrations for Microsoft Teams, Slack, Rocket.Chat, and more.
BlueSpice 5.2 is already available in the cloud. Customers with on-premises systems will be able to download version 5.2 in the free, pro, and farm editions in early 2026. Want to try out the new features right away? Take a look at our online demo or book a free trial wiki.
What’s new in BlueSpice 5.2?
AI chatbot – Work more efficiently without hallucinations
It’s finally here – the AI chatbot fully integrated into BlueSpice. It uses only the content of your BlueSpice wiki to provide answers in natural language – quickly, comprehensibly, and efficiently. Answers are provided with source references and can be copied or saved as a new wiki page. This makes the chatbot a true knowledge assistant in the wiki.

AI search integration – find even smarter
With BlueSpice 5.2, you get a brief AI summary of all results in the search center directly above the individual listing for a quick overview. If desired, further details can be displayed or the query can be continued directly in the AI chatbot.

Connect conference tools and chat applications – MS Teams, Slack, Rocket.Chat, and more
Collaborate directly with your BlueSpice wiki: Simply search for wiki content directly in your chat application, such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Rocket.Chat, and the wiki will respond. BlueSpice can also notify you in a variety of chat applications about tasks and notifications assigned to you in the wiki, so you don’t miss a thing. Share relevant wiki pages with your colleagues in Microsoft Teams and embed conference links from your service directly into wiki pages—including the appropriate icon. This makes BlueSpice the central platform for knowledge and communication.

Accessibility – unrestricted reading and working in the wiki
BlueSpice 5.2 focuses on better access for all users. The platform complies with BITV standards. It also meets essential WCAG standards and the requirements of EN 301 549. The wiki can be operated entirely via keyboard and adapts responsively to desktop, tablet, and smartphone. This makes BlueSpice an inclusive knowledge platform for all employees.

Documentation beyond borders – Embed content from GitHub & Bitbucket
Place relevant content from GitHub or Bitbucket in your wiki via URL and without duplicating it. Editing continues to take place on the original platform. This means that your BlueSpice always provides the latest information.

Connect issue tracking – Jira, EasyRedmine, Phabricator, and GitHub
Place ticket links from your issue tracking application, such as Jira, EasyRedmine, Phabricator, and GitHub, in your wiki for comprehensive documentation. The ticket links are visually highlighted so they always remain in your field of vision.
Further improvements
BlueSpice 5.2 offers even more improvements, such as:
- PreviewLinks: Previews are displayed when hovering over a link. Improved accessibility for link previews.
- draw.io integration: Diagrams can now be edited in full-screen mode. The editing mode for diagrams can be configured.
- BPMN processes: Local BPMN files can be imported and existing processes can be exported as BPMN files.
