Bye bye, Elon and X
BlueSpice moves to Bluesky and Threads

12. December 2024

Like many other organizations and companies, we are watching the development of X (formerly Twitter) with dismay. Even before the takeover by Elon Musk, Twitter suffered from unmoderated posts and hate speech. Under the new management, the platform has developed into a medium that is no longer compatible with our company’s core values.

Hallo Welt! was founded to make the technologies and concepts of Wikipedia usable for business. These concepts include reliable and verifiable information, the pursuit of objectivity and a culture free of discrimination and hate. These values are not shared by X, but rather deliberately undermined. Today, “free speech” there means “free hate” and “free manipulation”.

Our role models are Wikipedia and its sister projects. And with the knowledge of these projects, we at Hallo Welt! see the social web as a space for communication across national borders and cultures. X no longer wants to be a medium for this and is therefore no longer a place for us to communicate with our community, the public and our customers.

We are still present on many other channels on the web and look forward to you following us there in the future.
