About Professional.Wiki

Professional Wiki is a Berlin-based company specializing in knowledge infrastructure for businesses. Since 2009, our founders have been active contributors to the MediaWiki ecosystem. Our expertise and contributions to MediaWiki, Wikibase, Semantic MediaWiki, and numerous open-source extensions to MediaWiki are widely recognized.

We help companies build knowledge databases with structured data that serve both human teams and AI systems. Our services include:

  • Independent GDPR-compliant MediaWiki hosting
  • Solutions for structured data and knowledge graphs for MediaWiki
  • AI integration: Connecting wikis to LLMs, including RAG and MCP
  • Migrations, individual development, and styling

Our independence means self-hosting options, strong data protection, open source, and as few dependencies on third-party providers as possible.

We believe that well-designed knowledge is the foundation for effective AI implementation. Before AI can help your business, your institutional knowledge must be captured, structured, and accessible. We can help you with this.

As a BlueSpice partner, we offer managed hosting, migrations, custom software development, support, and consulting. We bring expertise in structured data and knowledge graphs to BlueSpice deployments.

We needed a way to display SPARQL query results in our Wikibase, and commissioned Professional Wiki to develop a solution. They developed a flexible extension that is exactly what we needed.

Dr. Tim Conrad, professor at the Free University of Berlin

We find ProWiki to be a very reliable wiki hosting provider that responds quickly to all our questions and requests.
