Technical provisioning and system requirements
BlueSpice pro on your own server
Most of our customers run their BlueSpice on their own servers (Windows or Linux) in-house, thus ensuring optimum integration into their IT infrastructure. If the server has very high loads, then you can scale up the operation to several servers. Connections to user directories and central backup systems, operation behind firewalls and proxies, and integration with intranet portals are possible.
External content from Office products can be migrated to BlueSpice pro. Alterations to the software and the integration of additional MediaWiki extensions on your own server are no problem. We would be happy to help you with the installation and setup of BlueSpice pro.
BlueSpice pro as Docker image
Docker is containerization technology that enables the creation and use of Linux containers.
With a Docker image you combine the stability offered by the cloud with the data security of an in-house solution by creating and updating the BlueSpice server according to a predefined concept. Because of the strongly standardized system environment in the Docker image, updates we provide can be automated and continually installed if you have Docker available in your IT environment.
BlueSpice pro in a virtual machine
We can preconfigure a complete virtual — hardware-independent — server for you to use in your IT environment (in-house). The prerequisite for this is that you already have an environment for virtual machines in use. We take over the selection of operating system versions and basic software for you and maintain them as required. Customer-specific adaptations are also possible.
BlueSpice pro as UCS appliance
Univention is a provider of open source products for the operation and management of IT infrastructures which has its headquarters in Germany. You can install BlueSpice completely with a finished UCS Enterprise Server in a virtual machine. The appliance is a solution for test installations which is simple to install. Thanks to its graphical management interface, UCS is easy to configure and connect to the server. This makes the appliance suitable for production systems too.
BlueSpice pro on an external server (hosting)
You don’t want to operate and maintain your own server? No problem. On request, we will gladly provide you with a preconfigured, password-protected and always up-to-date system that you can access via any web-enabled end device. Connection to a user directory via SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is possible if requested and provided by the customer.
