On this page, we highlight the topics we’re currently working on and the next steps in our development plan. The roadmap provides an overview of new features, improvements, and our priorities for the past and upcoming quarters.

Further Development Beyond Individual Features

The current roadmap isn’t just about new features. It also covers topics related to large-scale setups, connectors, and integrations, as well as improvements to existing components and technical processes.

2027 - First Half of the Year

  • PageConstraints: Control access to individual pages.
  • Ticket-Connector: Standardized module for integrating with ticket management systems such as Easy8, OpenProject, and others.
  • Office File Handler: More convenient use of Office files.
  • Visualized Statistics: Wiki performance can be illustrated with informative graphics.
  • Appointments: Simple calendar feature for events and teams.
  • Archive: “Archived” pages no longer appear in search results, in the chatbot, or in the metadata.

2026 - Quarter 4

New Features

  • PageTree (first version): Introduction of dynamic page navigation.

Improvements

  • Accessible PDF Export: PDF files become more readable for screen readers.

Large Scale Setup

  • Multi-Node Update: Large setups can be maintained more easily and quickly.

2026 - Quarter 3

New Features

  • PageLayouts: You can divide the content of a page into vertical columns without using tables.
  • WikiAutomation (first version): Providing a graphical user interface for automating processes in the wiki.
  • Charts and Visualization: Display of bar charts, pie charts, and line charts.
  • Minutes Feature: Organize meeting minutes in the wiki and find them quickly.
  • PageExcerpts: Embed selected sections of a page into another wiki page.
  • StatusBadges: Highlight text with colored badges.

Improvements

  • Central Task Overview: Personal tasks from all sub-wikis in a single view.
  • Simple rights management: Configure access rights in a sub-wiki and within a Galaxy conveniently and transparently.

Connectors and Integration

  • Webhooks: Interfaces for automation and integration, such as for n8n.
  • MCP-Servers: Providing an interface that connects AI applications with wikis.

2026 - Quarter 2

New Features

  • Spreadsheets: Spreadsheet functionality with support for functions such as sums, formulas, and more.
  • EditComments: Inline comments to support text editing.
  • Page Checkout: A page can be edited by only one person at a time.
  • AI Gadgets: New AI applications (e.g., summarize page, improve readability, automatic ALT text for images, edit summary, automatically insert categories).

Improvements

  • QA functions are controlled via metadata (workflow, page owner, reminders, and resubmissions).
  • Content Sharing: Centralized provision of files and templates for all sub-wikis.
  • Introduction of functional namespaces for “controlled documents,” “minutes,” and more.

Large Scale Setup

  • Front-end caching layer: Reduction of wiki page load times.
  • Full support for S3 data storage

2026 - Quarter 1

New Features

  • NeoWiki Metadata Management: New native property graph architecture with flexible, schema-driven form editing capabilities instead of traditional text-based annotations.
  • AI Gadgets: The technical foundation for simple and flexible AI features.
  • Search in Sub-Wikis: Introduction of a Galaxy-wide search function.

Redesign and UX Improvements

  • General Navigation Concept: Integrated User Interface for Sub-Wikis.
  • Creating and Managing Sub-Wikis: Easily manage multiple sub-wiki instances.
  • Permissions Settings: Improved management of user groups and roles.
  • Metadata Management and Visualization: Integration of metadata management into the user interface.

Improvements

  • PageOwnership: Revised feature for assigning wiki pages to users and groups.
  • ReadConfirmation: Revised read permission function.

BlueShift: Improvements to the Confluence Migration Tool

  • Performance: Faster data processing.
  • Parallel Processing: Faster processing of large amounts of data.
  • Automated execution: Reduction of manual intervention.

Large Scale Setup

  • Scalable task runner: Distributing the processing of background tasks.
  • Centralized job queue for task runners.
  • Database Cluster: Improving Database Server Performance.
  • Standard release: Support for HELM charts.
