BlueSpice 4.4 is our special Christmas gift for you. This recent minor release comes with enhanced features and additional advancements, ensuring an enhanced user experience with more improvements and bug fixes.
What’s new in BlueSpice 4.4?
OpenSearch – our new search engine
Starting from version 4.4, BlueSpice now utilizes OpenSearch, the successor to Elasticsearch, to deliver improved and faster search results. Combined with the upgrade of our search backend and indexing optimization, it is now even easier to find relevant data quickly and reliably.
Mentions & Tasks – Keep track of your tasks
Mention users on wiki pages using the @-symbol to alert people to that content. Or associate those mentions with tasks. The new feature also allows you to create task lists and assign these tasks to individual people with a due date. Tasks specific to you will be listed in your personal task list.
New Content Droplets
BlueSpice 4.4 extends the portfolio of available droplets that can be easily placed on your wiki pages. Use the new elements Task list, Task report, Decision report, Date, Book PDF Link and Book Table of Contents
.
More improvements
BlueSpice 4.4 offers even more improvements. Here is just a brief selection:
- The user interface and usability have been improved in several areas.
- The design of the page history has been revised.
- The read confirmation status of individual users can now be displayed in an overview.
- The MenuEditor has been added to the footer area. Links in the footer can now be customized.
- The special page ContentProvisioner has been added to check template updates.
- New configuration settings for BlueSpicePrivacy are available.
